Cosmic Disco on Space Invader Radio • January 2013

A new year and a new slot on invader.fm - 3rd Tuesday of the month from 6pm to 8pm - every month.

This month we have a whole host of new tunes from labels like XVI and Local Talk and new tracks from Ejeca, W&O, LeSale, Ashley Beedle, Faze Action and John Talabot.

This month has some very obvious nods back to early 90’s house classics recycled with thundering bass heavy drums and a bit of UK garage style swing. Lots of cut up vocals and soulful house clips. Turns out producers are also throwing in some rave style synth stabs for retro good measure at the moment, cant complain about that.

Shout to all the listeners and the S.I.R crew

Terry Callier - What Color Is Love

and I was just re-discovering this album at the weekend .. one of the best live experiences I ever did have was watching Terry Callier from just a few feet away in the early 90’s - magical.
